Community
LUE is the result of multiple research projects performed by the Computational Geography group at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. One of the focus areas of this group is to improve on the concepts and design of environmental modelling frameworks, with respect to their functionality and performance. This has resulted in an environmental modelling framework that is useful for domain experts and spatial analysts.
The direction LUE evolves in is the result of our research interests, but we are open to various forms of collaboration. That way you can have an influence on LUE's direction as well, for example by working on LUE during an internship or teaming up in a research project (see below for more options).
The LUE community consists of all people that contribute to the LUE project, in the broadest sense. This includes software developers, people working on the documentation, but also people that discuss LUE in LUE's communication channels, and people presenting about LUE at conferences. The members of this community are expected to honor our code of conduct.
All sources (e.g. code and documentation) are currently hosted in the LUE repository within the Computational Geography organization at the GitHub software forge.
